Document scanning is not just about converting paper into digital files, it is also about capturing important information within documents and transforming it into useable business intelligence. Xerox (NYSE:XRX) today announced that a selection of its DocuMate® scanners now include Diamond Vision® Enterprise Edition software by Office Gemini, an all-inclusive scanning solution that provides powerful production level image and data capture.
The document capture software market grew 8.2 percent in 2012, according to a new study1 published by Harvey Spencer Associates, a market analysis and consulting company. Harvey states on his website that, “As we move more to an eBusiness environment, it is clear that paper based information must be managed more effectively. The best way to do this is to convert the paper to usable electronic representations as fast as possible.”
John Capurso, president and CEO of Visioneer, a Xerox licensing partner, said combining a Xerox DocuMate scanner with Diamond Vision software creates the full-featured document and data capture solution that the market wants.
