While digital press competitors HP, Kodak, Ricoh, Canon and Konica Minolta are focusing on short run printing and other high-speed laser and inkjet printing solutions, Xerox has set its eyes higher on document and data processing and management. Four years ago, it acquired Dallas-based BPO major Associated Computer Services (ACS) for US$ 6.5 billion dollars along with its 10,000 strong workforce in Bangalore. Xerox CEO Ursula Burns who came to Bangalore a few months ago confirmed that 55% of Xerox revenues currently come from services such as document outsourcing under its business process outsourcing and information technology services.
