Lately, Bharathi saw the demand for digital printing shifting towards photography. Their capability to produce fine quality photo prints helped them establish a strong position in this field. “We’ve seen the demand for digital printing increasing recently, particularly in the field of photography. This is primarily due to the rise of in demand for ‘trendy’ photography – aimed at catering to all occasions and the want for fine albums. Due to the exceptional print quality and our finishing style, we see a rise in demand in this segment,” she says.
With 4 technical staff and one non-technical staff member, the 1200 sq. ft. facility of Madras Print House is at-par with corporates when it comes to the infrastructure. “We utilize high-end computers – capable of running leading design software with ease. We also have exclusive secure cloud storage for our employees and clients that are accessible 24×7. Besides, the office is equipped with two high-speed internet connections to support all demands,” shares Bharathi.
Quality is Madras Print House’s real forte. The customers that once experience the quality by them know it better than others. “It’s difficult explaining our superior quality to new clients. More so because the digital printing of various types, quality and price points are available in the market. Therefore, existing customers play a major role in recommending our company and winning new customers,” explains Bharathi.
The high quality is enabled by a state-of-the-art digital set-up led by their Xerox Versant 180 digital printing press. Other equipments include colour, mono, thermal lamination and cutting machine and complete finishing solutions.
This was the first time they installed a digital machine in the premises, says Bharathi. Along with the Versant 180, they have also invested in a ColorProfiler Suite Software and Photo Spectrometer.
The Xerox Versant 180 at Madras Print House supports printing in vast paper/board varieties like handmade paper, PVC sheets, and Synthetic sheets. “We create profiles/presets specific to each board based on the thickness and quality of the paper that helps us to achieve good print quality on all types of papers within a quick turnaround,” says Bharathi.

“Of course we considered other brand machines like Canon and Ricoh. However, we finalized the Xerox Versant 180 finding it extremely feature rich. Apart from features like 10-bit technology and FS200 etc., we found it well priced and falling right into our budget,” emphasizes Bharathi.
“Xerox provided us with very good support. Their engineers are very well trained and knowledgeable and are extremely friendly. They are always available, basis the need or urgency and provide support in person or via the phone. They have even helped us late night to fix errors, enabling us to deliverer projects on time. We’ve been provided trainings on machine handling, software configuration, colour profile suite settings and few basic errors fixes. Their trainings were good and enabled us to start the production very quickly,” she continues.
Starting off as a design agency – outsourcing their print jobs, today, enabled by Xerox, they have printing as one of the major offerings in their portfolio. “Today, we are happy to provide an end to end service to our customers,” concludes Bharathi.
